As a graduate student ready to kick off your career path, one of your biggest concerns may be – “Which employer offers the best opportunities for graduates”. The Times Top 100 Graduates Employers – the most widely-read graduate career directory in the UK – has the answer for you.
First published in 1999, the Times Top 100 Graduates Employers is the definitive annual guide to Britain’s most sought-after and prestigious employers of graduates.

According to the ranking (as seen in Table 1), PwC rises from the pack and ranks as the No.1 employer that provides the best opportunities for graduates. This accounting and professional services company has always been regarded as the dream company for graduates from all disciplines. German retail giant, Aldi is placed as the second best company, followed by technology innovator-Google (3), educational organization-Teach First (4) and Civil Service Fast Stream (5).
There are twelve new entries in 2015, which include Danone, Mott Macdonald and AstraZeneca. It is worth noting that Diageo, Frontline and Newton Europe are among the highest climbers on the list.

Generally speaking, industries such as Accounting & Professional Services, Banking& finance, Investment bank, Law, Consumer Goods, Engineering & Industrial, Public Sector and Retail Industries are among the best performers (See table 2).
On average ten companies in each industry are in the Top 100 Ranking. In terms of Accounting and professional services, apart from PwC, all of the BIG 6 are in the Top 100. More importantly, the rest of BIG 4 companies are in the Top 10: Deloitte (6), EY (8), and KPMG (9). It has become clear that Accounting& professional services are the most sought-after companies and pay great attention to talent management.

According to the current job market data, the two biggest Tier 2 sponsors are professional services and investment banks. We suggest that you apply for these companies to maximize your chances. As shown in Table 3, most of Top 100 Graduates Employers have London-based offices, so keep an eye out for the application deadlines (Please see table 4) if you wish to work in the capital.
